Best mochachino in Spore

I love the coffee at Mcd. Especially the mochachino!! Best outlets remain at Shaw and United Square where their baristas are good!

Cappuccino at Pastis, Gardens Midvalley

Finally found a nice place for a cup at The Gardens, Midvalley. I ordered a double shot cappuccino and was pleasantly surprised at the strong cappuccino taste though they could have done better with the presentation - the coffee really looked burnt! They use Lavazza coffee beans which is a plus point.

Coffee @ Bangsar Shopping Center

The newly renovated Bangsar shopping mall boast a nice gourmet experience at the ground floor. Here you can find quality eats, cheese selection and all sorts of stuff if you are going for a cooking therapy! They also have this nice little corner which serves coffee, using Bristot brand just facing the cheese shop. We tried the cappuccino and flat white here. Not too bad though the flat white cold be just nice with a double shot of espresso.

Espresso machiato@Coffee Bean

@Gardens Shopping Center
Is is my first try at espresso machiato. It's basically a shot of espresso with a dollop of foam milk. Add a bit of brown sugar and you're good to go. As compared to a piccolo latte, this is definitely much much stronger! As compared to the other coffee drinks at coffee bean, this is definitely something that I'll come back for.

Kopi ping@Kluang Station

With so many local kopi shops opened in Klang valley, sometimes you wonder which serves the best local brewed coffee. The first that came to the foodie scene is Old Town. They did actually serve nice white coffee - but later on, the quality deterioted and what you get is super sweet coffee! Nowyou have plenty of choices - Pappa Rich, Uncle Lim, Uncle John, Kluang Station just to name a few. Here's how I would rank each cafe

Old Town - come here for their kaya toast and half boiled eggs. Wouldn't recommend anything else. Used to serve great coffee but no more.

Papa Rich - loads of good variety of local food. My favs are their kueh teow soup, cendol, laksa and their nice soft fluffy steamed white bread with kaya! Their drinks. Variety are also aplenty. Coffee ain't good!

Uncle Lim - yummy nasi lemak (best among the lot) but again I won't go for their coffee.

Kluang Station - food are so so but I would highly recommend their coffee!! Super kau!

Espresso machiato@Departure Lounge

@Solaris 4, Mont Kiara
Was recommended by a fellow cuppa mate(Justin) and after missing it on one visit(it closes on Tuesday), finally got a chance to try. It's a small cafe which serves all day breakfast. Very similar to Wild Honey in Spore but on a much smaller scale in terms of variety. Let's talk more bout the coffee here. Serves Australian coffee beans as compared to many of the Italian beans served by most coffee places. I tried the cappuccino, latte and the espresso machiato. The best for me was the machiato as it was the strongest and really met my caffeine needs. The cappuccino was also nice, just not that strong. What's also good here is that you have latte art with each cup!

Joe&Dough

Found this place recommended by a fellow cuppa. This is located at Suntec City just at the entrance to Carrefour on Level 1. Serves pretty good coffee which comes with nice latte art. Do try the pastries as well. I would recommend the piccolo latte or the vanilla latte.
